Canadian Transportation Agency (Intranet)

Job Description

After the success of our first project with the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA), doing there external web site in Drupal 6, we were contracted to convert their Intranet site over to Drupal. By this time Drupal 7 had advanced to the point where it was now the Drupal version of choice. Work began in April of 2012 and the site was launched (internally) in August of 2012.

As can be seen from the screenshots, a standard GoC CLF theme was not used as this was not an external GoC web site. Omega was used as the base theme.

Some of the features incorporated in this project include:

  • ApacheSOLR search engine including autocomplete search field, search of file attachments and facets
  • simple to use tabbed pages (see screenshot)
  • collapsible page sections (see screenshot)
  • fully bilingual including designing numerous patches to such modules as Panels, i18n, Views, ApacheSOLR and others to provide i18n support
  • custom user profile pages
  • publication workflow using the Workbench module with custom modifications designed to allow it to work with i18n
  • polls, blogs and a slew of other features

Live site not available as this is an Intranet project.
